    R 2 Smelt 2

Picked this Old Cylinder up at a local garage, None of the gas companys would take it ! so I did,

Filled it with water and left it overnight, marked it up and cut it up,

    Started welding bits together,

Added hinges and spacers to keep lid level so it can be used to rest things on,

Fitted some casters tack welded rear casters so it wheels better,

Put a side rail on in Forge mode it becomes a stand,

    Forge mode,

Had a little time on the smelt today, Chimney and burrner pipes fabricated and fitted,

Getting closer Plinth and main lining installed fired with a blow tourch

    Construction complete

Well the blow touch didn’t work !!

    Burner and Fuel pot,

A very simple burner made from a Tee fiting and the fuel pot is an old gas bottle with a dip tube,
It works well ! A bit of a fath to get it light but works well when it’s going

    The Crusible

An old fire Extinguisher as a Crusible
