The Chassis Preparation
Had a little play with the new sand blaster and the old booth works a treat I’d say,
Hand brake cable mount transfured to new front cross member
This Torsion Bar Crass Member took some time to clean
This one’s going OK so fare
Last two cross members done,
lots of the small parts blasted ready to get galvanized,
Bit more Blasting done,
Off side front chassis webbing needs replacing,
These are not available even second hand ! so had to repair it,
All fixed up and ready for galvin
Front Cross Member needs a little welding on both sides you can just see a small hole in the front face that little black spot !,
Hum all that came out of the cross member ?
Drilled a drain hole in bottom of cross member to drain any water off hopefully it should make it last longer,
Welded a patch and the seams to give it a bit more strength as these cross members are very expensive,
Quick blast and looking good,
Next ! Time to take it all for galvanizing Hooray can’t wait to see it all gleaming,
