Here’s the latest addition to the Group’s vehicle collection,
It needs a bit of TLC but should be a nice truck when finished

Managed to find a replacement Cab
The replacement Cab arrived today From a nice man in at Sheffield motor spares
This one only needs the steps on both sides welding and a little on the inner wings wright at the front
and the back of the cab is pushed in a bit
Cleaned up a little 🙂 can see all the rotten bits now 😮 what a little beauty it’s in good nick compared to my old cab, knocked the big dent out of the back of the cab, some dent in the roof need sorting, shoved the beacon on for a picture’
looking forward to getting started on the welding,
Some cutting out of the rot and some welding and priming done The stiffener for seat mount folded reay to weld in,
Little bit of welding completed plated both sides with 1mm metel
Got about 60% of the welding done ,some box sections under the steps need a little work and the drivers side step to finish off, but the weather stopped play today, Well it was 19:00 so only lost about an hour lost, Also cleaned up some of the rust spots and primed them up ready for some paint,

Managed to salvage a bit of the old drivers side step
Rain rain and more blxxxy rain 🙁 just got the bottom left corner to patch now 😮 then flip it on it’s back and do the inner sills, Then it’s painting time B)
Think I quite like this Green and Yellow of my nippy little rover 25 runabout, British racing Green Metallic
Managed to get a bit of welding done between the rain, off side Seat stiffener and removed the seam along the bottom of the sill,

Found some more welding on drivers side inner wheel arch 🙁
At last welding complete 😀 just needs cleaning up stone guarding and painting now
Found some more welding 🙁 on the rear cross member bottom right, Primed and stone guarded, Think I’m goner put some more stone guard on tomorrow,
A little reminder of the Cab when first delivered
Before
After
Had a good day 🙂 got lots done another coat of stone guard and painted,

Steps, inner wings and engine bay painted,

😀 Couldn’t resist grill on for some pictures,

Old cab starting to look a little sad now 🙁 There’s really not much cab left just lots of rust
